Stone Medicine:

Most people think of crystals, and have the image of a new age person who seems high and “out there.” There couldn’t be anything farther from the truth. William’s goal is to bring clarity to people about the powerful healing that stones can provide a person. He prefers to call it stone medicine, opposed to crystal healing, because it is how most people speak of other healing modalities (Herbal Medicine).

A great example of how stone medicine is incorporated into his acupuncture treatments is with a clinical pathology called invasion of wind. In Asian Medicine, invasion of wind can manifest as muscle or eye twitching, or symptoms that move around the body (like wind blowing around). This could be when someone says their right elbow hurts. Then it is the left knee, then the low back. That is an example of invasion of wind.

Acupuncture is based in Taoism, which means everything that happens in nature, happens in humans also. It’s all energy. William’s style of Stone Medicine is also based in Taoism, so when thinking about nature, wind is stronger than herbs. Wind can blow over a tree, so you would not want to treat wind with herbs. Generally, wind will not blow over a large stone. Stone is stronger than wind, hence, treat wind invasion with stones.

Stones are amazing healing tools. William uses stones in his treatments to promote deep healing. Some of the conditions that he treats with crystals are:

  • Blood Deficiency

  • Insomnia

  • Heart Ache

  • Depression

  • Bone issues

  • Anxiety

  • PTSD

  • Deeper Meditation Practices

  • Invasion of Wind (Lyme Disease, muscle spasms)

  • Sexual Issues

  • Deep Mental Health Issues- Finding the light in the dark

  • Curses

  • Possession (addictions, obsessive thoughts, etc.)

Stone Elixirs: If William feels that you would benefit from a stone elixir, he may prescribe an elixir for you to take.
